WHY does the site exist?
As a means for artists to contact each other. A way for customers, galleries, museums, art shows and even old lost friends to find artists.
But other connections have been made too. One artist was 'found' by a friend in Russia. Twenty years ago they taught art together in Moscow. After many emails and phone calls the Russian friend made a visit to her now American artist friend. Another artist was 'found' by an old lover from 30 years ago. They are dating again. Still other artists have told me of new sales they have made to galleries that found them by accident on the website. These stories came as a huge surprise! There was no expectation for such occurrences in the beginning ...
